출신의 디자이너 마르티노 감페르(MARTINO GAMPER)는 가구 제작 도제를 거쳐 비엔나 응용 미술학교 (UNIVERSITY OF APPLIED
ART IN VIENNA)와 영국 왕립 예술학교에서 디자인을 전공했다. 그를 본격적으로 알려지게 한 버려진 가구, 또는 가구가 아닌 것들을 해체
하고 재 조합하여 예기치 못한 새로운 형태의 가구를 만드는 작업은 일상적으로 접하던 사물에서 아름다움을 발견할 수 있게 한다. 디자인 뮤
지엄에서 주최한 ‘BRIT INSURANCE DESIGN OF THE YEAR AWARDS’를 수상했고, 디자인 마이애미/바젤(DESIGN MIAMI/
BASEL 2008)에서 미래의 디자이너로 선정되었다. 이번 호 모노.쿠투는 서로 판형과 종이 질이 다른 세 권의 중철 책자를 이어 붙인듯한 독
특한 제본으로 완성되었다.
